As a facilitator delivering team resilience training, often my first job is to focus on changing perspectives. Or, at the very least, demonstrating that there is another view of a situation that is currently causing stress.
The benefit of finding different ways to see a situation is then we are also able to change how we feel about that situation. Which shifts our thoughts and our behaviours – and so we start to do things differently. Questions are a very powerful tool to do this.
These 5 questions to increase team stress resilience are designed to be used in a group environment – or on an individual basis. They will not only help someone to change perspective but also to feel more able to take action and to stop any self-sabotage and unhelpful thinking that might be getting in the way.
Team stress resilience is incredibly important today, as many organisations deal with remote working (or a full time return to the office), the impact of fast-moving politicial and global influences, the demands of different generations and leadership, innovation and collaboration challenges in increasingly competitive markets.
