Feeling stuck often happens because we’re coming up against discomfort again and again – and always trying to escape it. Never just sitting with it. Whether you’re aware that you’re doing this or not it is literally capping how far you can grow as a human.

This is what sitting with discomfort might look like for you:

  • Going against your social conditioning. E.g. being the agreeable cool girl instead of saying no, changing your mind or asking for things to be your way.
  • Setting boundaries and holding them when someone else reacts badly.
  • Hearing the inner critic shaming you and not giving into it.
  • Not allowing any emotion to stop you from taking action – doing it scared etc.
  • Having a conversation that is embarrassing/talking about your feelings and fears when it feels icky

If you can sit with uncomfortable feelings you’ll notice a real difference in your resilience. You’ll feel less fazed by doing hard things, less afraid of failure and you won’t give up – because discomfort will no longer be a sign to you to do that.

Result? you’ll stop feeling like life is happening TO you and feel more in control.
